Annually the Transportation Association of South Carolina holds a conference for the purpose of training new members, showcasing the latest in industry products and services available, and to provide opportunities for networking. The TASC conference attendees are transit service provider executive directors, human service directors, councils on aging, education officials, and their staff, which include the following areas of management: human resources, procurement, finance, maintenance, training, vehicle operators, and quality assurance. Local, State, and Federal Officials are also in attendance each year.

Hotel Information

The site for this year’s Annual Training Event & Vendor Expo is The Madren Conference Center at Clemson University. The Martin Inn is the conference hotel located adjacent to the Madren Center. All reservations must be made prior to February 1, 2019 to get the conference rate. The conference rate is $125.00 per night.

In the event that the Martin Inn reaches capacity, we have an overflow location at The Abernathy Hotel which is less than 2 miles from the Madren Conference Center. All reservations must be made prior to February 15, 2019 to get the conference rate. The conference rate is $125.00 per night.

Complimentary shuttles will run periodically throughout the day to The Abernathy Hotel.

The Inn at Patrick Square is our newest overflow hotel. Patrick Square is located just 4.5 miles from the Madren Conference Center. All reservations must be made prior to March 15, 2019 to get the conference rate. The conference rate is $125.00 per night.

Attention

All hotels that were holding conference rooms blocks are now full. While we can never truly determine how many people will attend the conference and reserve sleeping rooms, we strive to provide as many rooms as possible at the conference rate. After securing two additional overflow hotels, and filling those room blocks, we will not seek out any additional hotel room blocks. There are several other area hotels, and two recommended ones are below.

T3S Partnership

The Transportation Technology Transfer Service (T3S) is pleased to be associated with the 2019 TASC Annual Training Event, Expo & Bus Roadeo. As part our agreement with TASC, we are facilitating this year’s conference. T3S will be handling all registrations and payments for TASC. Payment transactions/invoices/receipts will be from Clemson University Transportation Technology Transfer Service (T3S). Neither Clemson University nor T3S benefit from the proceeds of the registration fees or sponsorships of the TASC Conference. All proceeds go to the Transportation Association of South Carolina.
