About Us

Who We Are

The Transportation Association of South Carolina (TASC) is a nonprofit organization that promotes public transportation in South Carolina. Its members include public service transportation providers, human services agencies providing specialized transportation services to seniors and persons with disabilities and special needs, government agencies, private transportation providers, educational institutions, and for-profit vendors that serve the transportation industry.

Our Mission

TASC advocates for the essential mobility of people to access work, healthcare, education, and community services enhancing the quality of life in South Carolina.

Our Purpose

Communicate the value of improved mobility to governmental partners, business sector, and general population to achieve our mission.
Educate policy makers, community leaders, and other influencers on the value of improved mobility opportunities to achieve our mission.
Motivate our membership and partners to build and sustain meaningful relationships and actively promote the value of improved mobility.
Provide training and opportunities that engage members for the exchange of ideas and best practices.

Our Vision

Through collaborative partnerships and advocacy, we aim to elevate the movement of people, eradicate the stigma of public transportation, ensure financial sustainability, and support economic growth. We aspire to be the first point of contact in South Carolina for enhanced, coordinated mobility and the go-to source for industry education and training. We will demonstrate a visible economic impact, solidifying our role as an essential contributor to the state’s prosperity and well-being.
